“He needed info that folks in my line of work have access to.”
“Mmm...will you-” Jo bit her lip as a pre-orgasmic shudder hit. “Will you tell me?” She asked once the shudder ebbed.
“I could or,” he began to suckle her earlobe again. “I could do this...and some other stuff…”
She was melting. “Tell me later then…”
Moses laughed softly. “That’s my girl.”
“Ram?”
“Mmm…?”
“Is all this getting started again?”
“You know what, Twig?”
Moses lifted her into his arms. “I think it’s finally
ending.”

Imani decided not to waste time dressing that morning before she left the bedroom. Roman was still in deep sleep, but she wasn’t taking any risks. She simply wrapped herself in the bedsheet that had gone to the floor the previous night during another one of the sex-starved scenes that were fast becoming the norm between her and her husband.
She wasn’t, by any means, complaining but they had to eat sometime! Left up to Roman Tesano, they’d only get around to fulfilling that human necessity when utter starvation encouraged one of them to crawl downstairs for sustenance. She’d just take advantage of the quiet time to whip up something that should pass for breakfast.
She arrived in the kitchen tucking the sheet secure at her breasts. The bed linen trailed behind her as she made her way across the glossy, dark hardwoods. She went in search of her egg maker. She was planning to whip eggs, lace them with meat, veggies and cheese. The maker would cook them in four individual slots via microwave. While that was being done, she’d prep toast and coffee.
It was a nice idea for a quick, satisfying meal that even Roman Tesano couldn’t turn down for sex, she mused. She only had to find the egg maker and shook her head when she spotted it along an upper shelf of the wide cabinet space.
Roman, she grudgingly noted, suddenly sorry that she'd taught him to use the blasted thing. It had become one of his go-to kitchen gadgets. Huffing out a breath, Imani tugged a step stool to the counter.
She was taking the second chrome step up when the top sheet began to unravel at her breasts. Hissing a curse, she caught it in time to tuck the material back in place.
Thankfully she caught it in time. The gravel-toned voice behind her, while similar, was definitely not her husband’s.
“Guess I should’ve called
first, huh Mrs. T?” Hill was all smiles as he watched his
mother.
CHAPTER
FIFTEEN
Roman woke, eager for more of his wife. Finding her gone from their bed, brought more shadow to his already, fierce beckoning features.
“Imm?” Sleep stumbling from their bed, he tugged on the boxers he found on the floor and began his hunt.
Shock and sudden rage were the adrenaline boosts that decimated any lingering sleepiness.
Roman entered the kitchen to find his wife, not only in the arms of another man, but seated on his lap and holding him a rocking embrace. The man- a big one- had his face hidden in her neck while she stroked his hair. His...his hair…
“Jesus…” Roman’s soft acknowledgement sounded like a trumpet in the quiet kitchen.
It was enough to draw the twosome from their embrace.
Hill blinked, looking as stunned as he’d been when he saw his mother coming into the kitchen. Gaze faltering, he observed his father’s attire. “Guess I really should’ve called first,” he said.
“Roman look,” Imani made no move to leave her son’s lap as she spoke to her husband. Mother’s love poured from her large, vibrant eyes as they trekked Hill’s face. Then, she was putting more kisses to his jaw, mouth and cheek.
Roman trudged forward in a daze, until he was lifting a hand to drag through Hill’s hair.
Imani’s face was hidden in one side of
Hill’s neck. Roman took the other side. The rocking embrace
continued between the parents and their child.

Imani finally left her preferred spot on Hill’s lap so that he could stand and give his father a proper hug. She had gone to change into something more appropriate than a bed sheet and returned with additional clothes for her husband as well.
“Sorry I didn’t call first. Cai said you guys were usually here now instead of the old place in Far Rockaway.” Hill explained, realizing he needed the conversation to keep his mind off his nerves. He had been doing most of the talking, mostly recapping the time recently spent with Caiphus and then the situation with SyBilla. He didn’t know what to make of the man’s staring which only curbed when his mother returned with fresh clothes.
“Cai says he and Bill have a lot of new information that-”
“Where the hell have you been, boy?” Roman found his voice at last, but gave his son no chance to respond. Tears streamed his face as he crushed Hill into another fierce hug.
“Dad,” was all Hill could manage then as he was still just as emotionally wrecked.
Imani stood on the very tips of her toes and soothed her husband and son with dual back rubs until the men tugged her into their embrace.
“Dad,” Hill sniffed, trying to resume his speech. “Dad I’m so sorry-”
“Shh...no baby,” Imani whispered.
Roman was already shaking his head. “Not one word on that, you hear?”
“The way I left,” Hill couldn’t stop the flow of his words then, “the way I disrespected you and then what happened to Mama-”
