CAST OF CHARACTERS
Susan Moore — The Chosen One, The One of Every Blood, the Queen of Office Politics, the Maestro of Management, and the hero of our story.
Prince Donovan y Tyrnn — Fae Prince, heir to the throne of the Kingdom of the Crystal Castle, equal parts overwhelmingly grumpy and blisteringly handsome. Has a heart weighed down by duty and a body built for sin.
Prince Connor y Tyrnn — Fae Prince, Donovan’s twin, second-in-line to throne, otherwise known as the Devourer. As sexy as Donovan but unfortunately rotten to the core.
Princess Cress — Badass warrior princess fae. Suspected bisexual with a short fuse and zero sense of humor.
Bart Montgomery-Litchenstien — Susan’s best friend, lover of art and beautiful things. A bear, both as a gay aesthetic as well as literally, although he hasn’t shifted for years.
Cecil — A sassy miniature unicorn who is so extra he’s got two horns instead of one. Fashion expert, stylist, interior designer, high-functioning alcoholic and most humble (ha!) servant of The Chosen One.
Violet House — A Domicile, or sentient house. Currently very young and immature, eager to please, and prone to making disastrous choices in security measures when left to her own devices.
Eryk — Fire Elemental fae, and personal guardsman of Prince Donovan.
Nate — Batalan, or combat mage fae, also a personal guardsman of Prince Donovan. Has some sort of mysterious connection to the fae underworld, which I’m sure we’ll get to in the next book.
Vincent Andresano — Susan’s ex-husband. Sexy bad-boy artist, darling of the San Francisco art scene, lying, cheating bastard.
Seraphina — A leggy, soft-spoken Irish beauty. Vincent’s former art intern, now, through years of careful manipulation and a tower of lies, his pregnant fiancé.
Audrina Morningside — Susan’s awkward, bullied teenage neighbor, the Songbird of Nob Hill.
Jessica Morningside — Audrina’s mom, an ex-beauty queen and a giant bitch.
Juliette Forbes — Ex-tennis pro, trophy wife, socialite, also a giant bitch. Still holds a years-long grudge against Susan for turning down her offer of a threesome with her and Vincent.
Gordon Andresano — Vincent’s dad. A snobby asshole.
Delilah Andresano — Vincent’s mom. Even more snobby than Gordon, her husband.
Rufus Stonnington — The Andresano’s lawyer. An arrogant old bastard.
Jillian — Bart’s accountant. A terrifying woman, even before you realize she’s a vampire.
Agarthon — Weapons expert, swordmaster, former instructor, and currently Connor’s most sinister assassin.
Purg — Another assassin. A shadowy, overpowered magical creep.
Grisela — Yet another assassin. A troll and former royal nanny. Heavy on brawn, very short on brains.
Candice — A berserker.
Todd — Another berserker. A bit of a dick but doesn’t hold grudges.
Courtney Webb — Susan’s lawyer, a maneater.
Bronwyn — Susan’s therapist. Exceptionally good at her job. Dresses like a toddler, but has the muscles of an MMA fighter.
Martina Norwood — Former human child prisoner of the Kingdom of the Crystal Castle, now, a no-nonsense cut-throat lawyer. Unimpressed by magic but would bang a spreadsheet if she could figure out how.
Detective Striker and Detective Combs — Asshole police detectives. Not really important for now, but keep your eye on Striker.
Redmayne — The leader of the centaurs. The less said about him, the better.

Susan Moore, the maestro of management and the hero of our story, has accepted the fact that she’s really, really not crazy. Magic is real, and she’s the One of Every Blood, the person destined to save every realm’s spark stone from Connor, the Devourer—an evil fae prince hell-bent on consuming all magic in all the Worlds and ruling every supernatural creature forever.
With the help of the brutally hot fae warriors Prince Donovan and Princess Cress, blood bondsmen Eryk and Nate, as well as the mini-unicorn butler Cecil, and Violet, a still very immature sentient House, Susan has been tracking down spark stones and closing them, making them permanently safe from Connor’s clutches.
But word on the supernatural street has gotten out that the Chosen One has emerged from hiding to take on the Devourer. Now, Susan’s teenage neighbour Audrina has been kidnapped by berserkers while out for ice cream with Bart, Susan’s bear shifter best friend.
