Acknowledgments
The Sedulous Writers Group (my writing critique group) was an immense help in the development and shaping of this novel. I also appreciate the marketing advice and support of Write Brain Trust. The knowledge and expertise of the authors in these groups have made me a better writer and publisher.
My thanks as well to early readers and editors of this book, specifically Lisa, Mike, S.J., Sally, and Sylvia.
No author should write a novel without a community of support, and I am greatly indebted to my friends and colleagues for their help.

Readers’ Praise for Earlier Books
Lead Me Home:
. . . on the challenging Oregon Trail of 1847 . . . the going is slow and scary and dusty behind a team of oxen. . . . [Hupp] takes us on this journey and shows how her characters cope and grow under these difficult circumstances.
. . . an incredible story, amazingly and beautifully written.
Now I’m Found:
Hupp has done extensive research on . . . traveling the Oregon Trail and prospecting for gold in the California mountains. The descriptions of those closely related periods of history are exciting backgrounds for a tender love story.
