Taking my cue from Clover, I’d like to thank all the assistants at the above offices, who work so hard behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly. I see you, and you deserve all the Bloom & Wild bunches.

I owe a huge debt of gratitude to booksellers, on the frontline of the industry, championing our books and starting the word-of-mouth ball rolling. I always used to say I wanted to see my book on a shelf in a shop – now I understand that it’s better to get it off the shelf and into the hands of readers, and it’s the booksellers who make that happen.

Finally, to my family. Thank you to my mum and dad for enduring my phone rants, my wonderful boys Wilfred & Edmund for ensuring my to-do list never gets done, to Phoebe for ensuring I’m never without a wipe in my hand.
