"Ready?" he murmurs, his lips brushing her ear.

"Always," she breathes.

My gaze tangles with Adriel's as we slowly push into her—me in her slick heat, him in the tight ring of her ass. She moans and trembles against us, her body stretching to accommodate us both.

A tiny crease furrows her brow for a moment before it smooths out.

"Are you alright?" I ask, worried. Adriel is massive, and we’ve already been all over her. Perhaps we’re taking too much.

"Yes," she breathes, her eyes fluttering open to meet mine. “I’m perfect.”

I search her face—her eyes—and then nod.

Adriel and I move as one, lifting her up my cock and then down his. We take her slowly, sweetly, reveling in every thrust.

She’s a symphony of sound and sensation around us, trembling and arching beneath our touch. I’ve never seen anything more beautiful. I’ve never felt anything more perfect.

Her eyes flutter closed as she gives herself over to the sensations, to us. Adriel and I move faster, stoking the flames of her pleasure higher and higher.

"That's it, hjartað mitt," I murmur against her lips. "Just feel."

My fingers find her clit, circling and stroking in time with our thrusts. Adriel pulls her back against his chest, his hands running over her curves, teasing her nipples. We worship her with our mouths, trailing kisses everywhere we can reach.

"You're so beautiful," I groan, tasting the salt of her skin. "So perfect."

"Our Valkyrie," Adriel whispers against her throat. "Our goddess."

She gasps as her orgasm builds, her body fluttering around us.

"Let go, ljúfr," Adriel breathes, his own control fraying at the edges. "We're right here with you."

“We’ll catch you.” I touch my lips to hers, my hand in her hair. “Trust us, hjartað mitt.”

We build her higher and higher still—loving her until she forgets everything outside this room. Everything but us. She cries out, her Light spilling over us in hot waves as she comes apart at the seams. I groan in ecstasy as it blazes through me, pulling me under the waves with her. Adriel falls, too, unable to withstand her power, her Light.

It’s exquisite. And for the first time, she didn’t reach for it in fear. She didn’t reach at all. She simply surrendered—to us. To our bond. To her Light. She put her soul entirely in our hands, trusting us simply because we asked.

Gods.

I pull her down on top of me, overwhelmed with emotion. Adriel seams himself to her back, holding her just as tightly.

"Thank you," she murmurs, her voice thick with exhaustion. "Both of you...thank you."

"Sleep now," I say softly, pressing my lips to her forehead as I run my fingers through her hair. “We’re right here.”

"Always," Adriel adds.

She relaxes against us with a sigh, her eyes fluttering closed.

For a long time, neither of us speaks, and then Adriel meets my gaze.

“No matter what happens, they can’t have her,” he says. “We can’t allow them to take her.”

“Nei,” I agree softly. “We can’t. We won’t.” I pause for a moment. “I’m recalling every warrior we have to Eitr—Fae and Blooded alike. If they’re sending an army for her, they’ll have to kill every single one of us to get to her.”

Adriel nods, worry glinting in his eye. “Will they get here in time?”

“They must.”

Chapter Fourteen

Abigail

“Ilove you,” Adriel murmurs, running his hands down my body as he drives into me.

“Adriel,” I gasp, my head falling back against Damrion’s shoulder.

“Let go,” Damrion croons in my ear, his hand slipping between my legs. “Let us love you, ást-meer.”

I sob, writhing between them, caught in ecstasy. I reach for Adriel, but my hand goes through him. His face contorts, his body turning to smoke. I cry out, pressing back against Damrion, but he vanishes too.

The room around me flickers, going dark.

The world spins.

Icy tendrils of fear creep up my spine as I find myself back in the cavern, chains around my wrist. The cold, unforgiving slab beneath my back. The Forsaken looms over me, a twisted smile on his face, malevolence in his eyes.

“Did you really think they came for you?” he asks.

No. Gods no.

It wasn’t a dream. It wasn’t.

Another whip bites into my flesh, searing me with agony. And then another. I scream in torment, in rage. In grief.

I was with them. I know I was. They came for me, rescued me. They held me in their arms and made love to me. They told me that they love them.

Desperation claws at me as another whip of his evil magic sends torment screaming through my veins.

I was with them. I was.

He lashes out again.

They came for me.

Again.

They came.
