Thank you for reading book three! I am so happy you made it here to the back.
I wish something interesting were happening.
It is still quiet here. The days alternate between pouring buckets and amazing sunshine, not too hot.
It was a lovely day, so I took Emma down to the river. Tara and Nat joined me, and the dogs barked at the baby swans, which aren’t so small anymore. Someday, the parents are going to go after them, and someone will get hurt—probably Nat or me when we try to stop them. Swans are huge and mean!
We paused at the local coffee shop on the high street and had carrot cake (Nat) and a fresh-baked scone straight out of the oven with raspberry jam and clotted cream (me) and iced mochaccinos. It was a tasty finish to a beautiful afternoon.
After a brief stop at the Co-op for milk for my tea and Jaffa cakes, and other essentials, Emma and I are now settled at home, hard at work on the next book. Well, I am. Emma is sleeping off the exertions of the afternoon.
The usual business
