Hi Reader! Thanks for picking up my book. I’m K.C. Lynn, a small-town Alberta girl who loves writing about true love and its existence.
This series holds a very special place in my heart because it’s inspired by a real mountain in the Canadian Rockies—where my father was born and raised, and where I grew up making cherished memories with my grandparents.
Whether I was outside splashing in the creek with my siblings, taking nature walks with my grandpa, or curled up in the living room with my grandma watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, I often found myself gazing at this breathtaking mountain with its heart-shaped peak, and knew, even from a young age, it would always mean something to me.
It’s the mountain my siblings and I always anticipated seeing on our three-hour-long car ride because it meant we were finally close to our destination—a tradition now passed down to my own children. A peak that’s been scaled countless times. One that has witnessed real love and stolen kisses. A hidden gem I always share with friends whenever I take them to experience the beauty of the Rockies, and now I am sharing it with all of you.
While the legend surrounding this mountain is purely fictional, the love and memories it symbolizes are not. Hopefully, after reading this story, Heart Mountain will weave itself into your soul just as deeply as it has mine and strengthen your belief in everlasting love.
