JODI LEE: You seem upset, Marlow.
MARLOW FIN: I’m fine.
JODI LEE: Maybe we should start with men in general, then. You have a history of relationships with quite a few famous men. Hollywood A-Listers, moguls, athletes. For someone who didn’t like the extra media attention, that probably didn’t help?
MARLOW FIN: Men in general. [Shakes head]
JODI LEE: Is that a bad thing?
MARLOW FIN: Yes, Jodi. It is. You were doing so well and then you go there.
JODI LEE: Are you uncomfortable discussing your past relationships?
MARLOW FIN: Not at all. It has nothing to do with being uncomfortable. But why not ask about my relationship with women in general too?
JODI LEE: I stand to be corrected. Do you have a preference?
MARLOW FIN: I don’t really have a preference. First of all, I think that’s a terrible word, as if someone has a choice. There is no choice when it comes to how your body chooses to respond biologically and how your emotions choose to react.
JODI LEE: That wasn’t what I was implying.
MARLOW FIN: I see.
I’ve had significant relationships with both men and women. More men. Am I talking about emotional and sexual relationships? Yes. And I’m not the least bit uncomfortable or afraid to talk about Marlow Fin and men, since you asked.
JODI LEE: All right then . . .
MARLOW FIN: I’ll tell you about my relationship with men. It’s like drowning.
JODI LEE: Drowning? How is that?
MARLOW FIN: I despise most men. They have too much power simply for having a Y chromosome. And yet I was given the ability to attract most of them. Some would call it a power of my own. What did I do with it? I used it. I fucking used it and pretty much sucked those reserves dry. I threw myself in the water. And now that I realize I betrayed myself, I can’t get out. That’s why . . . that’s why I’m drowning.
JODI LEE: Are you still drowning, Marlow?
MARLOW FIN: Absolutely.
JODI LEE: That’s all very interesting. But here is something that doesn’t make sense. If you despise men so much, why all those relationships? Why engage?
MARLOW FIN: You can despise and still be intrigued. I won’t lie to you. I certainly had my fun.
JODI LEE: [Leans forward] Are you going to be okay if I bring up Sawyer again?
MARLOW FIN: I’ll try to be fine.
JODI LEE: He was your brother-in-law, but he was also your childhood friend?
MARLOW FIN: He was more than just a friend. He was my brother before it was ever legally recognized by some marriage license. Some of the best memories of my life . . . no, they were definitely the best times of my life, were with him and Isla. Those summers together—no one can ever taint that.
JODI LEE: Can you tell me about those summers?
MARLOW FIN: [Silence]
JODI LEE: Marlow?
MARLOW FIN: Magic.
JODI LEE: Your sister, Isla, would eventually marry him in 2012. We discussed a certain event at the wedding earlier. Did it make you envious when they got married?
MARLOW FIN: No. I was happy for them. They were the two most important people in my life, other than Moni.
JODI LEE: Can you explain, then, why you were photographed going into a Beverly Hills hotel with him a few years later?
[Roll package, photographs of Marlow and Sawyer]
JODI LEE: They were the photos that shocked the world. Marlow Fin and her own brother-in-law, walking closely together into a hotel lobby in the fall of 2015. Marlow’s reps would later deny any reports of infidelity on his part. However, a few witnesses inside the hotel would state they saw them kissing. Others claimed they went up to a room together, although this was widely disputed. All accounts were denied by her reps.

MARLOW FIN: Jodi, this will be the first and last time I ever address this. My brother-in-law was in town for his job. I was the one who reached out to him to see if he wanted to meet for lunch or dinner.
JODI LEE: How did you know he was going to be in town?
MARLOW FIN: My agent was married to the owner of the LA company he was meeting with at the time. She mentioned it to me earlier in the week. I hadn’t seen him in a while and thought it would be fun to catch up.
JODI LEE: So, did you call him? Text him?
MARLOW FIN: I sent him a text.
