We go back out to the pool where the party is never-ending, here where every day is never-ending.
I slide off my cover-up and go to the edge of the pool, eyes on the water.
“What are you doing, Jac?” one of the other girls calls, and I dive in, fuck all of it. My hair and my makeup and this bathing suit that’s uncomfortable as fuck anyway.
I swim to the side of the pool and rest both arms in front of me, on the cement. I set my chin into my crossed arms, watching Henry, water dripping off me.
He catches me and stares back. I don’t blink or turn away.
Neither does he.
