“This changes everything. Now I will always wonder why I gave up my past life. I will have no peace until I figure it out.” Harmony said.
“They only gave me enough information to properly care for you.” Wendy said unhelpfully. “I don’t know why you chose to forget.”
“Well, I think I know someone who has the connections to figure it out.” Harmony said and stood up. “Could you check on Rufus for me while I’m gone?”
Wendy nodded. “I guess I can’t stop you from leaving again?”
“No.” She said firmly.
“Okay.” Wendy sighed. “Let me give you your car. Law enforcement brought it by when they found it abandoned at the marina.”

Harmony returned to New Life Rehab. She didn’t even bother to park but left her car in the roundabout in front of the home. Taking the stairs two at a time she raced into the main house. Rachel was in the dining room preparing dinner. When she saw Harmony, shock crossed her face.
“Harmony!” She set down the tray she had been holding and rushed to Harmony to embrace her. “We thought something terrible had happened. Zion is downstairs in the lab right now.”
“I have to talk to him.”
Rachel didn’t question this but nodded and beckoned for her to follow. Once in the lab, Zion was there examining the metal box that Harmony had entered which had led her to that other world.
“Don’t go in there!” Harmony cried.
Zion turned around slowly and wore the same smile that Rachel had. “Harmony?” He walked over to her and hugged her tightly. “What happened? Here, sit.” Zion pulled out a chair for her from one of the lab tables.
Once everyone had sat, Harmony started explaining the whole situation. She left nothing out. Zion and Rachel were both very engaged in what she was saying and interjected with questions for clarity.
When she had finished, Zion said, “That helps a lot. Clive and Arrow have disappeared and we are assuming it is to that other world. Pat has also disappeared.”
“What?” Harmony’s heart sank.
“The news reported this morning that Pat had stepped down as CEO of Sherwood Servers, but there was no press conference about it and Pat was supposed to return to Sherwood Servers to access your microchip information so we could locate you. Something must have happened when he arrived.” Zion said.
Harmony suddenly felt guilty. She barely knew Pat, but he had risked his safety for her. Now he was missing.
“Arrow and Clive were on a retrieval mission to rescue Mayre Evers, but they never returned. The crew that was in the escape vehicle can no longer track them so that either means the tracking devices have been deactivated or they are out of range. Those trackers have a range of 100 miles, so it is impossible for them to go out of range that quickly unless they are in that other realm.”
“I can go look for them.”
“No, you’re not going back in there.” Rachel said. “You were close to not getting out before.”
“But I am the most familiar with that place. I think I can manage it this time.” Harmony argued.
“Rachel, she may have a point.” Zion said kindly.
Rachel bit her lip in distress and said, “Is there any way we can monitor where she is at?”
“We can try.” Zion said. “Harmony, are you okay with me giving you one of our tracking devices?”
Harmony nodded.
“For good measure, we’ll give you fishing twine.” Zion said. “It sounds silly, but when technology fails we must get creative.”
Once she was rigged up with everything, Zion walked her over to the supply cabinet and opened the door. It still seemed to be connected to the other realm. Zion looked inside and nodded.
“Okay, Harmony. Your tracker is also a communicator. Hopefully, it works, but you just press the green button when you want to speak.” Zion patted the device.
“Thank you.”
“May the Lord be with you.” Zion said. “We will be praying for you.”
Harmony hoped there was a god and hoped he was good. She hoped he answered their prayers and hoped he would listen to her if she had to pray to him. She now wondered if she had been religious in her past life. If she had confidence in a god in her past life, what a shame to forget.
She stepped into the darkness and walked out into the fog. It appeared familiar, but she couldn’t be certain because everything looked the same in the fog. It was reassuring to have a lifeline connecting her to where she came from.
She then tested the tracker. “Hello, Zion?”
“Still here, Harmony.” Came the crackly voice.
“Good.” She responded. She walked a few more yards and tried again. “Zion?”
“Still here.” Came the voice again.
She did this for a while until she reached the creek she remembered. Instead of turning around in uncertainty like she had last time, she proceeded forward to explore even further.
When the fog had gotten thinner, she tried the tracker again. “Hello?”
All she could hear was static.
