“You don’t still…”

“Hell, no.” I cut her off. “We have our own places. The other day was the first time in years. And I had just been talking about this incredible pull you have on me. Just talking about you made me so hard my boxers failed to hide me. He was probably just curious. And, as I said, I forgot he was in the room.”

She curled into me again with a yawn. “I get it. The world just disappears for me when you are around, too.”

From the sound she made next, I was pretty sure she fell asleep. Someone really needed to be here to make sure she was taken care of the way she takes care of everyone else.

I carried her back to the bed before going and taking care of our plate and downing the last of our wine. She had already cleaned everything else up.

With that done, and double checking the locks on the door, since we had been a bit distracted when we came through earlier, I joined the intoxicating woman in the bed. I barely had my arms around her when Fiona curled into me again.

I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

Chapter 8

Fiona

The first thing I saw when my eyes opened was the bare chest in front of me. The first thing I felt was something much lower than that, and in perfect position seeing as I had one leg over both of his. Feeling playful, and knowing I probably still had a few minutes before my alarm would go off - I really only set it as a backup in case I overslept, something I’d never done (I didn’t count the night I spent with him before, I had hardly slept that night) - I slid one hand around to his back and rocked my hips forward. Dillan was still asleep, but his body reacted, trying to reach me. I repeated my movement, making it try harder to get to me.

That was all it took. I was on my back a second later, getting impaled. Just as I wanted.

It wasn’t until his sweaty chest was pressed against mine, both our breathing rapid, that I registered the alarm clock beeping in the background.

I pouted. “I have to go to work.”

Dillan kissed my shoulder and pushed up enough for me to see him better. “Call in sick. Tell them you are bedbound today. I’ll make it so you aren’t lying.”

I laughed, then laughed again when his eyes rolled to the back of his head. I didn’t get up for a few more minutes.

He tried to follow me to the shower. I firmly said no and then locked him out of the bathroom. By the time I got out, I could smell bacon and eggs frying. I dressed quickly, then joined him.

“Hope you don’t mind, I helped myself to your fridge.” He handed me a glass of orange juice and I took a sip. “Are you hungry?” He lifted the pan of eggs and carried it to the table.

“Starving.” I answered, as I followed him to where one plate with bacon sat.

He poured all the eggs onto the same plate. I grinned and waited, curious if he was going to do what I suspected.

Sure enough, after putting the pan back on the stove, Dillan sat down before pulling me onto his lap. Just like the night before. Only this time, he fed both of us. It took a little longer, but it was so much better.
