I stopped, holding my ground, when I recognized the big man standing next to a black town car.
He tipped his head in greeting. My smile was shaky. “Hey, BoBo.”
“Ma’am.” That was it, that was all he said.
Dillan just ignored both of us as he passed my bag to BoBo, then opened the car door for me. He jumped in after me.
“Excited much?” I laughed at him.
“Yes. I like the idea of having you at my place.” He leaned in and kissed me. “I may never let you leave. I told you. I like taking care of you.”
And I swooned.
And apparently climbed onto his lap while I kissed him. When my senses came back to me, I was eternally grateful that I wore a skirt to work and a buttoned blouse. Even though it was now unbuttoned, only the front could be seen. So even though BoBo most likely knew what we were doing, he certainly couldn’t see any of it. Not of me anyway. I was sure he would get an eyeful of Dillan if I got up.
Sensing my nerves, and probably knowing why, Dillan leaned in and kissed me again. He then whispered in my ear. “He isn’t even listening to us. It’s okay. I promise. Just relax. It’s just you and me.”
It was hard not to relax when he drew my attention like that.
Neither of us were wearing seatbelts when we arrived, or even sitting on the seat. At least I was on the seat. Laying down, but still. Dillan hovered over me, kissing me. I held onto him with my arms around his neck.
I never heard BoBo get out of the car, but he had to have, at some point.
“This whole world disappearing thing is probably not something we should encourage.” I frowned at my wrinkled shirt.
“Why not?” Dillan was enjoying my annoyance too much.
“Because it isn’t safe. Who knows what is going on when we are wrapped up like that?”
Dillan chuckled as he kissed my forehead and climbed out of the car. “Why do you think I asked BoBo to drive tonight? If we get distracted, he will watch our backs.”
“And every other part of us.” I mumbled disgruntledly.
Dillan pinched my butt then escorted me through the dark parking garage, and into an elevator. Where he cornered me.
“Anyone could walk in, ya know?”
“No, they can’t. When I pushed for my penthouse, it locked the elevator. No one can get on until I am off. It’s a tall building, shall we see if I can get you off before then?”
