I get it. I’m not really interested in guys either, but I think the soul connection we all share is hitting me on a different level because of my ability to feel other’s emotions.
“Bry?” She turns to me, and I shrug.
“Did I enjoy it? Sure. But is it something I would seek out? Probably not. My heart, and body, are kind of all for you, beautiful.” I kiss her nose, and she sighs. “But I would be okay with doing something like that from time to time for you.” She looks up at me with huge eyes. “I think the real question now is… Did you enjoy it?”
Colt snorts.“She was dripping all over me, and the bed. She one hundred percent enjoyed it.”
She groans and covers her face to try and hide the blush as we chuckle. “Yes, I enjoyed it. Again, I don’t think it’s something we need to do often, but I will never be opposed to it.” She winks at us.
“When do you want to go see Darren?” Orion asks in a serious tone, and that’s the end of that conversation.
Honestly, I don’t think it needs to be discussed past that anyway.
Besides, I have no idea how Harleigh takes us in her mouth so often, because my jaw and throat are fucking killing me. I definitely have a new appreciation, and deeper respect for her talents.
“Now, I guess? The sooner we have answers from him, the more prepared we will be to deal with your sperm donor.” She throws a look at Orion, and he grunts.
“You still need to tell us what all he did to you, babe,” he points out. “Maybe we can all sit down and talk about that first, so we don’t get blindsided down there?”
Once we’re all sitting down, she tells us about everything that happened from the time her and Adeline were taken, until the moment we burst into the room.
After hearing everything, I’m so angry I want to puke. Orion broke the table in anger before she sat on his lap to calm him down, and Colten burned holes into the chair he’s sitting on.
He’s always had the ability to throw fire, but I have never once seen him not have complete control over it. Until now.
She tells us all she loves us, and then we sit close together on the couch. We can all touch her this way, but still giving Orion his space.
He doesn’t like being touched by anyone but her on a good day, and right now isn’t even close to a good day. He’s probably as close as I’ve ever seen to murder, and that’s saying something.
We don’t say much for a while, just cuddling together while we process everything, before she calls Mark.
Harleigh
“You sure you’re ready for this, sweetheart?” Dad asks me. We’ve just come to a stop in front of the room Darren is being held in.
“Yeah. Call me crazy, but I don’t think Darren is the enemy here.” I shrug as he assesses me.
“I told you, baby, you have too big of a heart.” Orion lets out a frustrated sigh, and I turn to him.
Bry and Colt decided to stay and make some dinner for all of us. There wasn’t really a point in having everyone here, and none of us has really eaten anything today.
“O, I’ve tried to explain this to you. He didn’t tell them about Dad and Gramps. If he was truly against us, he would have told them that before anything else,” I plead with him, and he groans.
“Alright, fine. But I’m warning you, when we go to deal with Paul, that puppy dog look will not let you get you your way.” He gives me a stern look, and I nod.
I know it won’t.
Paul is a different breed. He may be human, but he’s as evil as they come. The only ones actually equipped to handle him are Orion, and Gramps. And Gramps doing anything to him would be tipping those damn scales too much. Not that I think there’s a point in really abiding by them at the moment.
If others are working with Raphael and what he said was true, then the scales were unknowingly tipped a long fucking time ago, and I have no idea what will happen because of it.
“I know, babe.” I give him a soft kiss as Dad opens the door, and we all walk in to face Darren.
The room is dark, and I can smell the urine he’s had to release in the bucket Dad provided him. I almost guarantee Paul hasn’t been granted such niceties.
“Harleigh,” Darren starts to move toward me, before Dad and Orion step forward to block him.
“Hey, Darren. How are you doing?” I ask.
He lets out a humourless laugh, and holds up his cuffed hands.
“Could be better.” He looks between Dad and Orion, before settling back on me. “Though, I figured I would be dead already. I guess I have you to thank for still being alive?” He raises an eyebrow in question, and I nod.
“You do. O wanted to kill you, but I don’t think it’s necessary yet.” His eyes never leave my face.
“Yet?” he asks.
“It depends on how you answer the questions, I guess.”
He nods in understanding, turning to Dad.
“These chains aren’t like anything I’ve ever been in. I can’t shift,” Darren states.
Dad lets out a dark chuckle. “They’re forged in Hell. Even angels can’t get out of them.”
“I have so much to learn,” I mutter, and Dad pulls me in for a side hug.
