SCHUMANN RESONANCE MENU
Below is a list of various ways we can reconnect with the earth’s natural energy, its heartbeat. Consider regularly practicing the ones that appeal to you.
Spend more time in nature by visiting a park, forest, beach, or other natural environment.
Establish direct contact with the earth by walking on the ground in bare feet, taking a nap on the grass, slowing and deeply breathing in fresh air, or gazing at the stars.
Limit the amount of time you spend with modern technology and your exposure to EMFs by using blue-light glasses or EMF blockers whenever possible.
Listen to music that includes a Schumann resonance or frequency in the background during work or play (YouTube is a great place to find these recordings).
As with all of the tools you’ve learned throughout this book, the more consistently you practice, the more connected you will feel to the earth itself.
EXPAND YOUR AWARENESS
Like the earth, we too are made of energy. Practice the following exercises to help you become more aware of your energetic and interdependent relationship with nature. Choose one of the three sensory modalities listed—visual, audio, or energetic—and practice as consistently as possible.
Expand Your Awareness Exercises
Expanded vision. Focus your awareness on an object in your immediate field of vision, then gradually expand your awareness to include more of the objects to the left and right of it, and then any objects above or below it. The goal of this practice isn’t to scan your environment but to gently expand your natural awareness to include more of your visual field.
Expanded hearing. If you feel safe enough, close your eyes. Focus your awareness on any sounds you hear in your immediate environment, then gradually expand your awareness to include fainter sounds and those coming from farther away. Again the goal isn’t to strain your hearing but to gently expand your natural awareness to include more of your auditory field.
Expanded energetic awareness. Take three deep belly breaths, focusing your awareness on the rise and fall of your stomach with each inhalation and exhalation. Gently expand your awareness to include your entire body as it rises and falls with every breath. Gently expand your awareness again to include the space around you, which shifts with the flow of air from your body to your surroundings. Finally, gently expand your awareness one last time to include everything that flows in the space between you and the things around you, as well as between you and all that came before and will come after you.
The following exercise can help you expand your awareness to include the global consciousness, helping you tune in to your energetic nature.
Find a place in which to lie or sit comfortably for five to ten minutes. If you feel safe enough to do so, you may close your eyes.
Take two deep, slow breaths, feeling your body relax.
Spend a moment gently expanding your awareness to notice the air itself and the different sensations as it caresses your skin, nourishes your lungs and body, and carries sounds to you.
Spend a moment gently expanding your awareness to notice the different thoughts in your mind without becoming distracted or focused on any one thought, allowing yourself to rest comfortably in this space of expanded awareness.
As you continue to rest in stillness, notice your body in space, gently expanding your awareness to:
the space in front of you, noticing as far as you can sense
the space behind you, noticing as far as you can sense
the space to your left, noticing as far as you can sense
the space to your right, noticing as far as you can sense
the space above your head, noticing any sounds or movement above you as far as you can sense
the space below you, noticing where your body touches the earth and any subtle vibrations you can sense.
Spend a moment gently expanding your awareness to notice the various sounds within and around you, paying attention to both any noise and the space between noises as you listen without paying attention to judgment or mental commentary. Allow yourself to rest comfortably in this expanded awareness.
Spend a moment expanding your awareness to notice the various smells or aromas around you, allowing yourself to rest comfortably in this expanded awareness.
Spend a moment expanding your awareness to notice the various memories from the past that may be coming to the present, allowing yourself to rest comfortably in this expanded awareness.
Spend a moment expanding your awareness to notice the various physical sensations in your living body in this moment, allowing yourself to rest comfortably in this expanded awareness.
Spend a moment gently expanding your awareness to notice the vastness and interconnectedness of life itself, allowing yourself explore the boundless support present in every moment. Allowing yourself to rest comfortably in this expanded awareness.
These exercises will help attune your awareness as an energetic being interconnected with the natural world around you. Harnessing Earth’s energy will help you create more energetic coherence in your brain and body that can then extend back outward, creating a more coherent collective consciousness. Embodying or living with more peace and compassion, we can each as an individual greatly impact all of humanity as we join together in the ultimate energetic collaboration—truly changing the world around us!

While we’ve reached the last few pages of this book, your journey doesn’t end here. Your journey, I hope, will change as a result of this book. Life is a process of change, I’ve learned. For decades, I thought I’d inevitably reach a state of “achievement,” “doneness,” or “completion” where I’d be able to relax into unending peace, love, and connection. And I’ve since realized that there isn’t any end or destination at which we arrive. We carry peace, love, and connection within us in every moment. And similar to nature and life itself, our being is always evolving, and embodying who we are is an ongoing process.
Our earliest environment shaped each of us into who we needed to be at the time in order to fit in and survive. We all continue to carry the accumulated stress of the generations who came before us, whose lack of knowledge and resources impacted our own bodies and minds, keeping us stuck in survival mode. Today, many of us can barely meet our own needs, and we don’t feel safe in our bodies. Both prevent us from showing up as our authentic Self or connecting with another, no matter what we say, how much we try, or who’s around.
Healing your most important relationship—the one you have with your Self—is the greatest way you can love others and find joy and ease in your relationships. Only once you feel safe and securely connected to who you are—body, mind, and soul—will you be able to build authentic connections with others and break the cycles that keep you locked in your past as well as the pasts of those who came before you.
When you feel safe and secure, you’re better able to navigate the emotions that color your human experience and that hold valuable insight for your daily decisions. You’re more attuned to the messages from your heart—your internal compass always beating inside you—that can direct you as you continue your journey into the unknown. And you’re more frequently able to access the love and compassion that’s always present in your heart and offer it to all your relationships, as well as to the world around you. Ultimately, when you’re truly connected to your heart, you’re better able to both perceive and receive the love that’s present and available from others.
I continue the same journey alongside each of you. Every day, I set an intention to remain committed to my relationship with my Self so that I can continue to serve the people and community around me. To support this intention, I make daily choices to strengthen my connection to my heart and continue to learn what authentic love feels like in my own body and mind.
Love, as it turns out, doesn’t come from anything or anyone outside us; it lives within each of us. When we reconnect with the infinite supply of kindness and compassion inside each of our hearts, we are guided by love.
And when we act in alignment with this loving guidance, we become love itself.
