Ingredients

       2 cups warm water

       1 tablespoon active dry yeast

       2 tablespoons white sugar

       2½ tablespoons butter, softened

       1 teaspoon salt

       5½ cups all-purpose flour

 

How to Prepare

Place water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and mix until dissolved completely.

Let it rest for 5 minutes or until it begins to foam.

In the bowl of yeast mixture, place butter and salt and with a wooden spoon, gently stir to combine.

Slowly, add flour one cup at a time and mix until a sticky dough forms.

Set aside for about 10 minutes.

Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface and toss with flour until dough becomes sticky.

Set aside for 10 minutes.

With your hands, knead the bread until a non-sticky dough forms.

Now, shape the bread dough into a ball.

Transfer the dough into a bowl and coat with oil.

With a kitchen towel, cover the dough bowl and place in warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
