Ingredients
1 cup warm milk
¼ cup warm water
1 (¼-ounce) package instant yeast
½ cup cooked potatoes, mashed
4 cups bread flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
¼ cup butter, melted
How to Prepare
Place milk and water into the bowl of a stand mixer, with paddle attachment and sprinkle, with the yeast.
Let it rest for 5 minutes.
In the bowl of yeast mixture, add the remaining ingredients and mix until just combined.
Now, switch the mixer to dough hook and beat on medium-high speed until a slightly sticky dough forms.
Place the dough into a greased bowl and turn once to grease the top.
With a kitchen towel, cover the dough bowl and put in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
Uncover the bowl and with your hands, punch down the dough well.
Grease 2 (9x5-inch) loaf pans.
Divide the dough in 2 portions and shape each into a loaf.
Place the dough into two greased 9x5 loaf pans.
Place 1 loaf into each prepared loaf pan.
With a kitchen towel, cover each loaf pan and put in a warm place for 25 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 350ºF.
Bake for approximately 30–35 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove the loaf pans from the oven and place onto 2 wire racks to cool for about 10 minutes.
Now, invert each bread onto the wire racks to cool completely before slicing.
With a sharp knife, cut each bread loaf into desired-sized slices and serve.
