¼ cup cacao powder, sifted
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
3 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1½ cups avocado, peeled, pitted, and mashed finely
2½ tablespoons heavy cream
½ cup pecans, chopped
1/3 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
How to Prepare
Preheat your oven to 350ºF.
Line a bread loaf pan with lightly, greased parchment paper.
Place almond flour, cacao powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and mix well.
In a separate bowl, add eggs, oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
Add mashed avocado and cream and beat until well combined.
Add egg mixture into the bowl with flour mixture and mix until well combined.
Gently, fold in pecans and chocolate chips.
Place the mixture into the bread loaf pan evenly.
Bake for approximately 45 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted in the center of bread comes out clean.
Remove the bread pan from the oven and place onto a wire rack to cool for about 15 minutes.
Now, invert the bread onto the wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
With a sharp knife, cut the bread loaf into desired-sized slices and serve.
