Fresh Herbs Bread
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1½ tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
½ teaspoon active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1¼ cups water
¼ cup olive oil
How to Prepare
Place flour, fresh herbs, yeast, and salt in a bowl and mix well.
Add water and oil and mix until a wet and shaggy dough forms.
With a spoon until the bread dough comes together.
With a plastic wrap, cover the dough bowl and set aside in a warm place for about 10–18 hours.
Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface and toss with flour until dough is sticky.
Place the dough onto a lightly greased parchment paper.
With a damp kitchen towel, cover the dough and set aside at warm place for about 1–1½ hours.
Preheat your oven to 500ºF.
Heat a Dutch oven with a lid in the oven for 30 minutes.
Place the dough onto a generously floured surface and shape into a ball.
With a floured sharp knife, cut an X on top of the dough.
Remove the hot pan from oven and carefully, place the dough alongside the parchment paper inside.
Cover the pan with lid and immediately, set the temperature of oven to 425ºF.
Bake for approximately 30 minutes.
