Ingredients
1½ cups water, room temperature
2 teaspoons white vinegar
4 cups all-purpose flour
1–2 tablespoons white sugar
1½ teaspoon baking soda
1½ teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon butter, melted
How to Prepare
Preheat your oven to 400ºF.
Lightly grease a large baking sheet.
In a large cup, place water and vinegar and mix well.
Place flour, sugar, baking soda, and baking powder in a bowl and mix well.
In the bowl of flour mixture, add the water mixture and mix until a dough forms.
Place the dough onto a floured surface and with your hands, knead for 2–3 minutes.
With your hands, shape the dough into a 1½-inch high, flat, and round disk.
Arrange the dough disk onto the prepared baking sheet.
With a floured sharp knife, cut the slits on top of the dough disk.
Bake for approximately 30–40 minutes or until golden-brown.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and coat the hot bread with melted butter.
Place the bread onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
With a sharp knife, cut the bread loaf into desired-sized slices and serve.
